The Sanur beach is long and has white sand. Also one takes shelter, that makes advisable for swimming. Nevertheless, the warm beaches and the being a quite substantial tourist area creates a disadvantage in which the quality of the water is not as good as the Nusa Dua beach. Puputan badung located in the center of Denpasar and lot of people use this place as a cheap recreation destination. Every Saturday night in this place will full of people who celebrate the weekend. Lot of couple will seen in this place. In this place usually held a Balinese Gong perfomance every Saturday night. East side of the yard also located Jagatnatha Temple and Bali Museum and at the West side located the Bali's Governor office.

The Regional Government of Bali in 1967 first established STSI. To train a new generation of artists and scholars to help preserve, study and develop the performing arts of Bali. It became a national institute in 1969, and since then has been administered by the Directorate General Of Higher Education And Culture. The curriculum offers dance, music and shadow puppetry. Undergraduate students can attain a Sarjana Muda Bachelor of Arts degree, and there is graduate program that awards a Master of Arts degree, Seniman Seni Tari.

On the eastern side of the historic Puputan Square in Denpasar is the Museum of Bali, built by the Dutch in 1932. The original collection was put together with the assistance of a German painter.
